Our Bodies & Other Shames
Set in the Modern Orthodox community of Brooklyn, NY, three childhood friends reconnect after a decade in the wake of a devastating cancer diagnosis, forcing them to face trauma about sex, shame, and each other. As they are haunted, literally and figuratively, by their past selves, the women face a reckoning of their own making — mend their fractured friendship or lose themselves completely.
Our Bodies & Other Shames is a 2023 Finalist for the Sundance Development Track, was in the top 10% of the Academy Nicholl Fellowship applicants, and is on track to film fall of 2024 directed by Jenny Lester.
The TV series of the same title has placed in multiple screenwriting competitions and was a red list script on Coverfly.

When Gabby, Chava, and Naomi head to shul for Purim — already high on sugar — they expect a a day of costumes, candy, and fun, but when they are banned from the men's section because of their age, they are confronted with what it means to get older, what it means to question tradition, and the power of female friendship.
